Our Mission

Housing Connect Fund enhances affordable housing opportunities by ensuring Housing Connect residents are connected with programs and supportive services that enrich their lives and anchor the communities in which they live.

Housing Connect Fund’s supportive service programs incorporate proven best practice methods and are offered free of charge to the residents. The supportive service programs serve approximately 4,500 individuals annually through direct service case management, resource connection events, educational opportunities, and more.

LEARN A BIT ABOUT WHAT HOUSNG CONNECT FUND OFFERS:

The Financial Empowerment project links participants with case managers who assist with the development of goals focusing on employment, education, and finance through two programs: the Family Self-Sufficiency Program and the Financial Wellness Case Manager.

Youth and Family Services ensure that youth living in low-income households have the support necessary to succeed as adults, lifting their generation out of poverty. Programming includes Families BOND (Building Opportunities, Networks, and Development), Youth & Family Advocacy at Bud Bailey Apartments, and RESH (Refugee Employment Subsidized Housing) Case Management.

The Services Coordination project focuses efforts on ensuring those served by Housing Connect have access to resources supporting the unique resident need at Housing Connect properties – Bud Bailey Apartments, East 72, and the Hub of Opportunity. The team of Services Coordinators connect with residents, Property Management and Services staff, and community partners to identify individualized needs and coordinate referrals, resources and community partnerships that promote aging in place, housing maintenance, education, employment, self-sufficiency, empowerment, and healthy communities.

The Permanent Supportive Housing Services project assists residents who are formerly homeless and/or elderly and disabled through intense case management and service coordination provided onsite or through home visits with the goal of long-term housing stability.

The Barrier Removal Fund is designed to increase access to affordable housing by removing the known barriers of low-income individuals and families. Known barriers include costs associated with money for application fees, money for rental deposits, and other fees.
